description: In the heart of Tuscany, just a short drive away from the historical town of Volterra, there is a hamlet called Collina Etrusca where 12 villas are currently being built. The villas are all in traditional Tuscan style and are divided into 43 apartments of varying size from 70 up to 300 sq.m. The villas are surrounded by 50,000 sq.m (5 hectares) of land which is made up of communal grounds, 2 swimming pools, tennis court, fitness club and parking spaces for the residents. Most of the apartments have private gardens close to the villas.
The whole project is run by the Austrian Villa alle Monache Group, which has its Italian subsidiary in Castagneto Carducci. The construction is being realised in two stages. In the first stage the following villas are being built: Villa Lavanda (consisting of 11 apts size: 73.10 sq.m - 189.10 sq.m) Villa Giglio (4 apts size: 80,5 sq.m – 152.20 sq.m), Villa Gelsamino (3 apts size: 83.85 sq.m – 196 sq.m) and Villa Ciclamino (2 apts size: 83.45 sq.m - 155.55 sq.m). The basic construction of the first stage villas will be finished by June 2010 with the final works being completed by the end of the year. Also completed by the end of 2010 will be one of the two swimming pools, one tennis court, the fitness club and full infrastructure for the above mentioned villas. The second phase of construction is to be started in September 2010 with completion of the whole project including the second swimming pool planned for the end of the year 2011. The houses to be built in the second phase are: Villa Lauro and Villa Girasole (consisting of 4 apts size: 82.50 sq.m - 165 sq.m each), Villa Fiordaliso and Villa Primula (3 apts 70 sq.m - 164.80 sq.m each), Villa Tulipano and Villa Orchidea (3 apts 108.10 sq.m - 209.10 sq.m each), Villa Camelia (2 apts size: 165 sq.m) and finally Villa Rosa (size: 330 sq.m).
